Mark and I agreed that Fisherman’s Warf is a great place to take out-of-town guests, more specifically, our moms. Bonus if those guests like seafood (my mom doesn’t). And double bonus if those guests get a kick out of touristy things like Alcatraz.
We’re going to save doing that stuff for when moms come to visit.
The Ferry Building was one of my favorite parts of our SF trip. All of that amazing food housed under one roof made my mouth water at every turn. I really wish I was more hungry at the time because all I had room for was one oyster. It was a pretty amazing oyster, though. And only $2. How could I pass that up?
^^ I should have eaten some salty pig parts, but didn’t. ^^
^^ I should have eaten some awesome gelato, but didn’t. ^^
^^ We should have rented bikes here, but didn’t. ^^
We aren’t the brightest bulbs in the…box of bulbs. Instead we walked and walked and walked for hours until our feet were blistered and our legs felt like J-E-L-L-O.
Bad move your first day in the city.
^^ Some deeelicious Oakland-based Blue Bottle Coffee. ^^
^^ There was this crazy fountain/sculpture at Embarcadero Center that Mark and I climbed. ^^
^^ Cool classic cars on the pier. ^^
This was our first taste of San Francisco. We are hooked now.
I can’t wait for the day when this city is a 25 minute BART ride from our house.
See you every weekend, SF!
Even more on our San Francisco adventure to come…
