The first few days of our cross-country road trip have been pretty incredible.
We were supposed to make it to Kentucky by tonight, but a pretty serious downpour opened up above us as we trekked across the mountains of West Virginia. If it were a different day, we might have continued on, but it just so happened to be the day after the night we spent with the Bowerbirds (I made it to bed as the sun was rising).
So, instead, we pulled off the highway at a random exit that had an abundance of hotel options and checked ourselves into a dog-friendly Super 8 motel.
We likely won’t have Internet again for at least a few days, so now is a good a time as any to post a few photos.
Full posts on each stop to come soon, but here’s a sneak peak…
